Siddipet: Munigadapa ZP High school breaks records

Siddipet: Zilla Parishad High School, Munigadapa in Jagadevpur mandal, broke into Telugu Book of Records by organising ‘Apoorva Kavi Sammelan’, which was attended by 253 child poets here on Thursday.

Telugu teacher at the school, Sashidhara Sharma, and headmaster Raheem, with the help of other teachers and district administration, organised the event in an attempt to inculcate writing habit among the younger generation.

More than 250 students from 50 government schools located across Gajwel Revenue Division participated in the event and were asked to write poetry on the topic of ‘Environmental Conservation’.

Each child poet recited their poems and a panel of judges shortlisted them for four best prizes and consolation prizes for five others. All the contestants also received a participation certificate.

Appreciating the organisers for the programme ahead of Telugu Mahasabhalu, Collector P Venkatrami Reddy called upon the Education Department, teachers and writers to plan similar programmes in Siddipet and Husnabad revenue divisions shortly.
